| I'm inviting a boy (openly gay) to my daughter's sleepover. Should I tell the parents of the other guyren? One of my daughter's best friends is a boy who I'll call "Pete". Pete is flamboyantly gay. He often cross-dresses, he's very proud of his gay culture, has a boyfriend of his own, and honestly I'm extremely secure about him sleeping over in my daughter's room. There's just no way that he would EVER do anything sexual with my daughter. I trust him, and believe me when I say that there is no other boy I would say that about in regards to my daughter. My daughter wants to have a sleepover for her sixteenth birthday. She wants Pete to come. My concern is that if I don't tell parents in advance that Pete will be there that they'll hear about a boy being at the party from their guyren, and freak out on me. However I know that some of these people are openly homophobic, and they may chose to yank their guyren simply because of their own ignorance. I know that that's their right as a parent. Other parents may simply not share the confidence that I do in this boy. Again I know that's their right. What bothers me the most about all of this is that should I tell the parents, and they yank their guyren, then Pete will know why so many girls didn't show up, and he'll feel bad. I know the guy well enough to know how he'll react. Honestly I don't want that. I love the boy too much to do that to him. So any suggestions from the peanut gallery? | They probably would be attracted to beautiful bio-males who were virtually indistinguishable from bio-females, if there was NO way in which they could tell. Seeing as they would not be aware of it, there wouldn't be anything which could potentially turn them off said bio-males.
