Who was the first gay comic superhero? I am doing a report on human rights through comics and need to know who the first gay or lesbian one was thanks! |
| Northstar, a member of the Canadian mutant superhero team Alpha Flight, was the first openly gay superhero. |
Is David Hopkins of the Furry comic Jack gay ? After reading the Furry comic Jack, I am pretty sure that the creator David Hopkins is either gay, or in the closet. It's a pretty good web comic, and I can see how it's won awards. The guy can be pretty dramatic. But Straight ? Nope, I can see way too many of his own personal Demons in this story, and the running theme in the comic seems to scream a Closet confession of a bitter gay. He makes quite the statements in the Arcs he writes. |
| Yup I think he's gay to. Just look at his work it clearly says I'm gay he has never officially said he was gay but I'm pretty sure he is. |
What is name of gay furry comic ,which includes character ''sonic''? well ive heard of this ''college'' themed gay furry comic ,but the problem is that i dont know anything more than one of the characters names:''Sonic'' (or something like that..) |
Well, i do not know anything about it and i do not like homosexuality but that's just what i think and in fact it should be fine and "sonic", you're probably referring to "sonic the hedgehog", a game icon.
I hope this hep's in any way, although i would suspect not many know the answer to this "gay furry comic" seeing that it's "gay furry"
Yeah.. lol |
Where can I find a comic based on a gay superhero? Looking to read about the adventures of a gay teen male who is a superhero or at least has super powers. Any websites that revolve around this concept? Any amateur gay comics out there? |

| The modern Batwoman is written as being of Jewish descent and as a lesbian in an effort by DC editorial staff to diversify its publications and better connect to modern day readership. Batwoman's sexual orientation has been both criticized and praised by the general public and the character has been described as the highest profile gay character to appear in stories produced by DC Comics. |
Does any one know the name of this gay comic? Does any one know the name of this gay comic, and the places i can find it?

| That isn't gay, that's homosexual. |
Website of gay comic strips? I found a website last week of cartoon comic strips that were posted one under another by different authors and different drawing styles, but forgot it. Does anything know anything similar to what I am talking about?
And it were strips and pictures of gay guys. |
| They're probably yaoi doujinshi's (doujin for short). Google them. |
Can comic books be rated M just because the main character is gay? I read that Homosexual youth suffer higher risks of suicide or homelessness than the general youth population.
I want to make a comic book/manga that the confused and/or frustrated teens can relate to. So if I made the main character gay, could the book be rated M? Even if there's no sexual themes? |
As long as there is no sexual content, probably not. It probably would be rated 16+ though.
But be cautious if you are not gay yourself. A lot of people decide to write about a certain group of people who they want to help, but don't really understand. They usually end up presenting a skewed or insensitive perspective, and can even offend the people they are trying to support. So be sure that you know a LOT about your subject before beginning. |
