How will older television series be released on Blu-ray? Have there been any? I've never seen a Blu-ray of anything with a 4:3 original aspect ratio, yet many people will soon begin to want popular, older series like Twin Peaks, Star Trek, etc. on Blu. How will this be handled? Have any older shows been released on Blu-ray yet? | | Likely it won't. Older TV series have proven not to be very popular in HD sales because of the costs of the production of Blu-ray and release price being so much higher than the complete series sets. If they are released its a digital transfer of hopefully original stock in 4:3 with black bars or wall paper along the sides. Several older TV shows have been released to lack luster sales, notably Star Trek TOS is the only show produced before 2000 to make it onto Blu-ray the next oldest show is Firefly. | Dragonball Z kai difference between Older series? I started to follow the dragonball z kai series and i noticed that there is not really much of a difference between the older show, did anything change, did they remove anyone? | | Basically in a nuthshell, Kai follows the manga exactly. The original anime had filler episodes and it branched off the storyline. In Kai, the action and major battles do not stop for any pointless episode. Remember the great saiyaman episodes? They won't occur in Kai. Hope this helps! | Is there anything wrong with buying replacement parts for an older BMW 3 series at Autozone, etc? I have been using autozones parts on my toyota and they are pretty good. they're not expensive and do the job.
I am looking at older BMW 3 series (e36) and some people say that replacement parts are expensive.
is it bad to use autozone parts or something? they're not expensive. they have parts for pretty much every car in america. | | There is nothing wrong with that. They have some service-related parts such as oil and air filters, and even brake rotors and pads. But they do not have too many parts available, and you would probably find online parts retailers such as bavauto.com a lot more cost effective than most places. | Don't you like the the older series of spongebob? i thought the older spongebob series were hecka funny and natural. now today the newer series looks gayish. like the chracters kinda overact and spongebob's voice is pitched higher like he'll never shut up or something. don't you guys agree? | Yes I agree the earlier episodes were much funnier. To tell you the truth, I give the writers credit for being able to write stories this far about a sponge and his friends, living under the sea! It takes great imagination and creativity to make the series so funny! In my state, the newer episodes come on one channel and the older ones come on another channel. I always turn the channel to the older episodes. Every cartoon goes through a dry spell, but I like watching Spongebob, Patrick, Manray, Mermaid Man, Barnacle Boy, Sandy, Squidward, and my favorite, old Mr. Krabs! I know, I know, he's cheap, but hilarious!
Narrator: And remember........
Mr. Krabs: the money is always right! ^_^ | Where is the best place to get an older 3800 series supercharger for my 2008 grand prix? and is it easy to install? or should i have it professionally put in? | | Buick dealer, but wouldn't recommend, seen a lot of them at work and bearings and rollers don't last, an expensive proposition, plus reprogramming computer and other modifications. | Older fantasy book series where a group of guys gets magically pulled into the fantasy realm they role play at? They play a D&D type game at their school when one day they are pulled into the realm and the characters that they portray. As it turns out, their teacher, who oversees the game, is actually a magician in that land and he is the one who pulled them in. The main character is a warrior. At one point in the series, he rescues a dragon from a cesspit. And they invent gunpowder and guns. Please let me know what the title of any of the books is or the author. Thanks! | Guardians of the Flame books by Joel Rosenberg
The story begins with seven college students and a professor gathering to play a game similar to Dungeons and Dragons. Little do they know that the professor will magically teleport the seven students to the very world the game takes place in, and they will possess the bodies and minds of the characters they played as. Perhaps a bit cliché, but it is so well executed that it feels completely original. | What is the name of an older Cartoon Series from the 60's or 70's? Now I can't remember too much of it but I use to watch it as a guy, it always had morals to each episode and none of them were very long! There was always someone singing (sounded like Carole King I suppose) it had everything like walking upright animals to grumpy guys who jumped into cereal bowls! Thank you for your help in advance! | Was it called "Really Rosie"? Carole King did do the music for it. :)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIHDBWQkZ… | What are some good book series for older teen girls? I just finished the 8th Pretty Little Liars book and pre-ordered the 9th one, and next on my list is Water for Elephants, The Help, then the gossip girl books, the sisterhood of the traveling pants, then the hunger games. I'm looking for some suggestions similar to these just in case i dont like some of them or i read them quickly (which is a good possibility!) | | My personal favorites are The Mortal Instruments, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, The Heir Series, and anything by Jodi Picoult. Jodi Picoult can be pretty detailed though, so don't read them if you have a weak stomach | What's a good anime series for someone older? I kinda asked this question before and I keep getting the same reply. Shows like Dragon Ball Z and Naruto don't suit me? I'm 20, I like more complex series
My favs are Fullmetal Alchemist(best show ever!) and Death Note. Now those are serious anime series that make you think. I'm looking for something along those lines. Please exclude Cowboy Bebop also. I watched part of the first episode and couldn't get into it.

Baccano!
www.animeseason.com/baccano/ | Would the Twilight series interest older people? I'm thirty eight. I'm considering reading it, even though it's not my usual reading fare. I usually like classic, dystopian, post-apocalyptic and cultural fiction. I like some horror but not if it's too gory. I don't read any romance. Do you think I'd like it? I also want to know because I need some interesting material to read to a senior citizen in a nursing home. She's eighty one and she loves mysteries and historical fiction. Thanks! | | I'm 25, and it was way too "young" for me. It's mostly teenage romance with a touch of the Gothic thrown in. I also got a really distinct Anne Rice vibe any time the story wasn't focused on the whole "I loooove him....he's sooooo hot.....why is my teenage life so complicated...." bit. I get why the young 'uns like it, it's not total garbage, but it is pretty juvenile. |
